We began day 2 with croissants from Almondine Bakery (another place my sister found in her food research prior to our trip) and a *photoshoot* in Dumbo, before walking back to Manhattan via the Brooklyn Bridge, then rewarding ourselves with Waffles and Dinges (this didn’t happen because the stand was not where we thought it would be… huge disappointment! However, I saw a corgi with a bowtie, so…)
Obviously, I forgot about my fear of heights when we planned this part of the trip. All I could think of was not being able to cross this bridge the last time I was here (because Josh and I biked around Central Park and continued on to Brooklyn Bridge along the Hudson River and my legs were incredibly exhausted). A quarter into the bridge, I checked how dirty my white shoes were and saw the
goddamn gaps between the wood panels and the cars. Fortunately, my cousin was just as scared of heights as I was, and I found solace in our shared fear.
Later in the afternoon, we ended up napping for a couple hours (LOL), and by 7pm we decided to go back to see Times Square.
BUT NOT BEFORE WE HAD JOLLIBEE FOR DINNER to fuel our short evening trip back into Manhattan.
